Amazing blog! I just stumbled upon this and love it. I visited Sana'a for a few days last year and loved the place. The people were so great. We stayed at the Burj Al Salam and explored the town. Took a whole load of shots, I need to get them all online soon - but my favorite is "Trust In Yemen" have a look at my photoblog www dxbluey dot com.
One request - do you have a good receipe for lamb salta? Amazing dish! The place called Al Fahker (I think) on Hadda Road was brilliant.
Hope you have a great time there - as I said, I loved it...
23 and on the move... to Yemen! After years of talking about it I have finally decided to make a bold and audacious move, I'm moving to the Middle East! Although quite ill-prepared I know this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and simply could not be missed. So for one year I will attempt to immerse myself in an entirely foreign culture and way of life. I hope to learn the language and gain invaluable insight and experience into Muslim culture. What an adventure this shall be! This blog chronicles my exploits, absurdities, and adventures during my Year-long Yemeni Adventure.
Frickin AWESOME picture. Enter it into a contest. Or two. Seriously AWESOME.
ReplyDeleteI cannot get enough of this blog...I am suppose to be writing a grant application...but I am reading ALL the posts!
